“The Resource Matching and Referral program’s governance structure is built to facilitate a faster and more pertinent decision making process.”
The Toronto Central Home and Community Care Support Services RM&R governance structure was updated in January, 2014 to reflect the evolving needs of the program. The revised structure supports a more streamlined decision making process, while ensuring representation from all our clients on key business and technical decisions. The new structure is composed of the following subcommittees: Executive Committee, Business Advisory Council, Resource Matching & Referral User Group and ad-hoc Project Steering Committees. There are also three working groups: Privacy & Security, Reporting & Analytics and Technical. The Executive Committee will act as the main decision making forum while Business Advisory Committee, RM&R User Group and Project Steering Committee will provide recommendations for the RM&R Program.
The Executive Committee is composed of 6 members: 1 Toronto Central HCCSS representative, 1 Toronto Central HCCSS representative, 1 Privacy & Security representative, 2 RM&R representatives and the Chair of the Business Advisory Council. This representation ensures that the Executive Committee is able to make smart and effective decisions, with sufficient input from all the stakeholders affected by the RM&R application.
The Business Advisory Council is composed of sector representatives from Acute Care Health Service Providers, Rehabilitation/Complex Continuing Care Health Service Providers, Long-Term Care Homes, Community Support Agencies and the Toronto Central HCCSS. The Business Advisory Council will advise and provide business inputs into operational and ongoing activities to support the TC HCCSS RM&R program. To ensure effective cross-representation, the Chair of the Business Advisory Council is also a member of the Executive Committee.
The Resource Matching & Referral User Group is composed of site representatives from most our participating organizations. Long-Term Care Homes and Community Support Agencies, due to their volume, instead have sector representatives. The Resource Matching & Referral User Group’s role is to provide end-user feedback and direction for operational enhancements and discuss core business, workflow and reporting opportunities related to RM&R.
Project Steering Committees are created for the duration of an individual project. They are composed of senior level subject matter experts and provide the RM&R program with insight and counsel.
Three working groups: Privacy and Security, Reporting and Analytics and Technical will be consulted by the subcommittees for their subject matter expertise.
