RM&R governance overview
The Resource Matching and Referral (RM&R) Program governance structure is designed to support efficient, informed decision-making while ensuring appropriate stakeholder representation.
Updated in January 2014, the RM&R governance model reflects the evolving needs of the program. It streamlines decisions and ensures effective input on business, technical, and operational matters.
Governance structure
The RM&R governance framework includes four subcommittees and three supporting working groups.
Executive committee
The Executive Committee is the primary decision-making body for the RM&R Program. It includes:
- Two Ontario Health atHome representatives
- One Privacy & Security representative
- Two RM&R representatives
- Chair of the Business Advisory Council
This composition ensures balanced, informed decisions reflecting stakeholder perspectives.
Business advisory council
The Business Advisory Council provides business and operational guidance and includes representatives from:
- Acute Care
- Rehabilitation / Complex Continuing Care
- Ontario Health atHome
To support alignment, the Council Chair also serves on the Executive Committee.
RM&R User Group
The RM&R User Group represents participating organizations and end users. Site representatives participate where possible, with sector representation for Long-Term Care Homes and Community Support Agencies. The group provides feedback on system use, workflows, reporting, and operational enhancements.
Project steering committees
Project Steering Committees are established as needed for specific initiatives. Comprised of senior subject matter experts, they provide focused guidance and oversight for individual projects.
Working groups
Three working groups provide specialized expertise to support the governance structure:
- Privacy & Security
- Reporting & Analytics
- Technical
